[RANK5=John Hyon Ko] Khalid Taha is one of the most talented fighters coming out of Germany competing internationally.
He fought last in the Bantamweight Tournament at RIZIN World Grand Prix 2017. In the opening round, the young striker breezed past Keita Ishibashi in devastating fashion which allowed him to move up in the bracket.
Soon afterward, Taha returned to Japan and face Takafumi Otsuka in late December for the second round of the tourney. While he completely dominated the fight for the first two frames, a slight mistake got him caught in a choke that he could not get out of. This was the first setback of his professional career.
The Dortmund native went back to lick his wounds and signed a multi-fight deal with BRAVE Combat Federation.
Suffering his first loss has ignited a fire inside that he will be carrying into the cage at BRAVE Combat Federation 12 against "The Pride of Bahrain" Hamza Kooheji on May 11 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
In this interview, Khalid Taha spoke with John Hyon Ko about the mistakes he made in his last performance, the disrespect of Manel Kape, BRAVE CF being the best fit for him, returning to featherweight for his debut and more.
