Aidan James ®️ Brave CF

[랭크5=고현 기자] Creeping up the ranks, Aidan James has put himself on the map under the Brave Combat Federation banner. With incredible finishes over the likes of former title challenger Frans Mlambo and prospect Jalal Al Daaja, undefeated Welsh juggernaut has become a force to be reckoned with.

His next challenge will be Cameron Else at Brave CF 24 on July 25 in London, England.

John Hyon Ko of Kumite TV spoke with James to discuss the enjoyment of fighting in hostile territory, having Cameron Else on his radar before the fight announcement, taking the long road to the title fight, and more.

Notable excerpts from the interview:

JHK: “After that last fight, you said you do not want an immediate title shot. How far do you believe you are from demanding a shot at the [bantamweight] belt?”

Aidan James: “I don’t really think about it too much. The champion [Stephen Loman] gets all the respect from me, he is a good guy. He is tough, he is sharp, he is well-rounded. He is a UFC level bantamweight. That is my honest opinion of him. I just think he should not be taken lightly. He has had 15 pro fights. Beaten the former world champion, defended his belt three times, he’s legit. And if it was an amateur fight, I would fight him next week but it’s a pro fight. When you lose a title fight, you go right back to the bottom.”

JHK: “Cameron Else, he is accomplished. He is probably the most accomplished you are facing so far in your career. What are your thoughts on him and what he brings to the table?”

Aidan James: “I’ve watched him for a while. I’m like a MMA UK nerd. I was watching him fight Ed Authur in BAMMA, I seen him beating Paddy [Pimblett]. I’ve watched everything before so when they said his name it wasn’t like a shock. I know Cameron Else. He is a tough customer. I know a guy who has trained with him, Jack Shore. We both train together. He is no easy task.”

JHK: “What do you prove to yourself with a victory over Cameron, finishing Cameron in London?”

Aidan James: “That I am what I believe what I am. I really believe I am one of the best in the world. I don’t go thinking too much into the future, I never have. Taking moment by moment. I just prove again I am doing something right.”
